About me

Hi there! My name is Margherita Gennaro, and I have been working in the artisanal men's tailoring sector for over ten years.

In 2024, I opened my tailoring atelier in Milan, at Via Petrarca 6. My goal is to offer an artisanal product of excellence and to put at the service of my clients the experience I gained as a cutter and production manager at the historic Sartoria Ferdinando Caraceni in Milan. I was born in Udine in 1992.

From a young age, I studied music, and after completing my academic studies at the "J. Tomadini" Conservatory, I graduated with a piano diploma in 2012.

Subsequently, I developed a passion for the world of tailoring and attended the Basic Course, the Advanced Course, and the Pattern Making Course at the SITAM fashion academy in Padua, obtaining a professional qualification certificate. In Udine, I continued my training at Sartoria Antonio Moliterni and later at Sartoria Sattolo, where I received my first insights into men's tailoring.

In 2014, I moved to Milan to work at Sartoria Ferdinando Caraceni until the business closed in December 2023. Here, I gained experience and mastery in this artisanal craft; my work involved taking measurements for new clients, designing patterns, cutting, fitting garments, and making any necessary adjustments. I crafted men's jackets, tuxedos, morning coats, overcoats, and women's outerwear.

From 2018 to 2020 I continued my training with a personalized study and technical deepening course on men's and women's patterns with Professor Lino Marsili, a former lecturer at the Marangoni Institute.

Other passions that accompany me on my path of personal growth are ikebana, which I practice at the Japanese Cultural Center in Milan, and traditional Japanese embroidery, under the guidance of teacher Stefania Iacomi.
